Git Git Waterfall
Git Git waterfall located just about 30 minutes drive down follow the road toward Singaraja City. Gigit Waterfall, the most highest waterfall with natural life surround. From the parking area need to walk one kilometer down path with many shops offered handicrafts and souvenirs. The concrete footpath to the waterfall goes uphill and downhill. A lot of tropical plantation grow up on the way include of the lush rice field, clove, coffee, papaya, vanilla and cacao plantation. About 60 - 70 meters high waterfall with bigger water flow during rainy season.
Singaraja town is Balinese colonial capital during 1849-1955. North Bali was conquered by the Dutch 60 year prior to south Bali conquest. Since its long year contact to outside world, Singaraja has always been a leader in fashion and art. The new harbor to the west of the town plays an important part in Bali's trade with other Indonesian islands.
Lovina Beach is about 30 minutes drive from Git Git waterfall. The name of Lovina became from the word of Love Indonesia (INA), the beach has black sand with small wave and the area the base of tourist object in north of Bali. Many hotels and retaurants built including small night life. The most populer activities here is to see dolphin early morning at 6.00 am with hire small boat or do snorkelling.
Banjar Budhist Vihara
The Buddhist Vihara and Monastery in Banjar North Bali, near Lovina, is more then just a "tourist attraction". It is still used, and you can find groups of people staying in the Ashram nearby. The Buddhist temple is not a tourist trap, entrance is free, but donations are welcome. Even the sarongs you may need to enter the temple, you can use for free. The Buddhist temple is situated in the hills above Lovina and offers nice views. In the 6th century Buddhist monks suppose to have landed and settled in the North of Bali, and the Hindu religion of Bali has a lot of Buddhist influence. On the highest level of the complex you find a Stupa, allmost like a small version of the Borobudur in Java. In the temple you find references to the Borobudur.
Pupuan is located in the western part of Bali, a place to fill your eyes with awesome memories of great landscape accompanied by no one other than the friendly local farmers. Being in a position above this rice paddy gave you a wonderful perspective. Each rice paddy has a converging seam, where one field is separated by another. The slopes in the area have over the years been turned into amazing and beautiful rice terraces, together with coffee groves and orchards. Off from the road, tropical forest with pristine waterfalls and even a hidden temple await nature lovers.
